Pretty n' Pale

When the sun comes out, I love mixing pale tones together to make an (almost) perfect summer outfit.

Lucy Mecklenburgh has recently released a new collection entitled "Wildfires and Dreams" with PrettyLittleThing, so I had a scan through and managed to find this cute little crop top! I'm absolutely obsessed with crop tops at the moment, as they're perfect for keeping cool in the heat and go great with high waisted skinny jeans. This one in particular caught my eye as it's cut out on the waist and round the back, making it a distinctive style.

Another thing that I adore about this top is the ice blue lace. Pastels are ideal for summer, so this top definitely won't look odd as a part of your summer wardrobe.

As you may have guessed, I tend to pair my white jeans with a lot of things; and this top was no exception! By blending these two light shades together, this outfit has more of an effortless chic vibe.

To polish off the look, I decided to team the top and jeans with my new pair of white and gold sandals and a simple white and turquoise necklace, as I felt that matching pieces would compliment each other best.

Fringed Summer Tops

I really adore fringed garments at the moment, so I thought I'd share my two new purchases with you guys!

This fringed top is ideal for layering up a plain white top. It fits perfectly and has a unique floral pattern to any other floral pieces.  This top is better for a casual day look as opposed to a going out look, so would be ideal for festivals.

I fell head over heels for this pair of denim shorts after noticing the little pom pom trim! In terms of styling it, I decided that this top would look best teamed with these shorts, making it it more of a boho chic ensemble. I also felt that my new white leather sandals embellished with gold metal would polish the look off nicely.

This top is slightly different from the previous one. It's a lot thicker, so it's unlikely that you'd need to wear it with a little top underneath. Also, the fringing is a lot more structured this time, making it more appropriate for an evening outfit rather than a casual daytime one. It's also off-shoulder, making it perfect for sunny weather (woop woop!)

To add a sprinkle of girlyness, I decided to pair it with my pink high-waisted denim shorts, which I've had for a few years now (and still fit like a dream!) However, it would also go great with a pair of floral harem pants if the weather's not warm enough.

Powder Scarf

Although it's supposed to be summer (wishful thinking!), the weather here in the UK just doesn't seem to agree. It sounds mad to be wearing a scarf, but this isn't your normal winter, woolly scarf, oh no.

Powder Scarves UK currently have a large collection of spring scarves. I received the "Capri" scarf which is a mixture of pink and yellow tones. This isn't just your average scarf though, as it's unique texture is ruffled with fringed detail at the bottom.

Now you may be thinking that a scarf at this time of year sounds rather odd, but this isn't as thick as a winter scarf, meaning that it's perfect for when we're greeted by some cold weather.

Styling wise, I personally feel that it would be best to let the scarf do all of the talking, so keep the outfit simple. Paired with a baby pink jacket and white jeans would make for a cute and girly statement, whilst teamed with a beige jacket and black jeans would make for a more chic ensemble.

I'd also like to apologise for my lack of posting last month! I had a lot of exams during May, but now that exam season is drawing to a close I'm hoping to get some summer themed blog posts up!
