LFWend Feb 2016

On the 28th of February 2016 I took my second trip to London Fashion Weekend at the Saatchi Gallery, and it was just as amazing as the first time!

I was lucky enough to bag myself tickets for both the trend and designer catwalks. The first show I went to was the trend show, which showcased some fabulous pieces from VeryExclusive.co.uk. This was split up into four themes, with the first being "Beautiful Botanicals". This featured a lot of floaty, floral dresses and skirts in neutral shades, which will transform our wardrobes perfectly into spring. The second section was "Americana", which showcased a large number of leather jackets along with shades of red and blue. Next up was "Pop Art", which was made up of bold and bright colours; perfect for livening up our summer wardrobes. The final instalment was "New Romance", which moved away from the luminous colours and focused on pale shades, with plenty of feminine and girly pieces to accompany.

The second and final show was by Holly Fulton. The East London-based designer brought her brand new collection to London Fashion Weekend and did not disappoint! Full of bursts of blue, lime green, orange and pink, it looks as though colour-blocking has not gone out of style just yet. What made these pieces truly unique was the funky patterns and embellishments that were crafted onto them. My personal favourite was the patterned blue mini dress; perfect for summer!

Although it was sunny, it was still quite chilly outside, so I wanted to look stylish but keep it practical at the same time. I opted for my brand new navy striped shirt dress (From the petite section so it fit perfectly!) with a statement necklace, my baby pink Moschino quilted bag, leather jacket, boots and tights to keep my legs warm!

Simply Chic

I don't usually do very well during the January sales. The style never suits me, my size is the only one never in stock, or that piece I've had my eye on for ages is still full priced (If so I'll usually just buy it anyway!)

However, it must have been my lucky day, as this white blazer I'd been lusting after for so long was finally reduced! It's a size 4 from the Petite section in Miss Selfridge, so it's perfect for my petite frame. Usually jackets and blazers are too big for me, but luckily this one fits just right.

Although I wouldn't wear this casually, it'd be ideal when going out for dinner or anywhere slightly more formal. In this case, I have decided to team it with a plain white crop top, my blue Joni jeans and a statement necklace. It wouldn't look out of place with a blouse and a pencil skirt as well.

Additionally, I decided to pair it with my brand new Marc Jacobs watch. I was kindly given some money for Christmas, so I thought that buying this watch would be a good investment. It's rose gold so it goes great with silver, which is ideal for me as I never go a day without wearing a piece of silver jewellery!
