Blakely Clothing kindly gave me two tops to promote, so I figured why not feature them on my blog?
The first top that I received was "The Bayliner". I really love the nautical theme of this top! I've never worn any nautical themed clothing before, so it was nice to have a change and shake things up. The contrast of it being cropped but having long sleeves makes it ideal for spring, as it can be worn on both cold and warm days, making it perfect for unpredictable weather.
Another thing that makes this top stand out from the crowd is the little red anchor sewn in the corner. As well as being a cute touch, it also further reinforces the nautical theme.
This top is also ideal if you want a casual look. I decided to team this top up with a classic pair of black skinny jeans, my brand new Michael Kors Selma bag, and my white converse, which includes red and blue stripes on the sole to match the top! However, this top would also look great with a pair of blue ripped denim shorts when the weather (hopefully) gets warmer.

The second top that I received was "The Luna Crop" top. Although this is also a crop top, this top is quite different from "The Bayliner", as it has a galaxy theme as opposed to a nautical theme. Again, I've never owned anything with this theme before, so it's a great addition to my ever-changing wardrobe.
This top is the ideal companion for a beach holiday for multiple reasons. Firstly, it's cropped with short sleeves, so it'll keep you nice and cool in the heat. Secondly, it's lightweight, so it's ideal for slipping over the top of a bikini, Thirdly, it'd look great paired with a pair of white shorts and cute flip flops.
However, as I was not fortunate enough to be on a beach holiday when these photos were taken, I decided to team this top with a pair of white skinny jeans and a pair of white converse. I decided to style it with white jeans as I felt that they would help show off the top more, whereas I felt that if I paired it with my black jeans or my black skater skirt it wouldn't look as effective and the colours would just blend in with each other. Come summer time, this top would look great with any light colours.
