The main piece of statement jewellery that I personally love are necklaces. They're so versatile and there are so many different styles and colours, that it's hard not to find one that won't suit you. There are pretty flower ones that'll give your outfit a floral update, or (fake) metal ones to make the look a bit more grunge. Whichever one takes your fancy, it's guaranteed to make your outfit look even more fabulous than it already does!
This is a statement necklace that I recently purchased from Miss Selfridge. I've paired it up with a River Island blouse that I've had for a little while now. This blouse usually has a piece of black fabric that sits underneath the collar and does up like a bow tie, however I swapped the tailored look for a more glam and girly look. I wore this blouse with a pair of black skinny jeans, so I felt that that this necklace would add a nice splash of colour without looking too over the top.
I'm such a girly girl, so pink and cream are two of my favourite colours; so of course this is my ideal necklace! I also love the contrast of the silver in the middle with the golden chain.
This is just one of many ways to wear a statement necklace of course. . . the possibilities are endless!
